Mini Cheese Steak Egg Rolls

The best cheese steak egg roll this side of Philly!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Green Bell Pepper Sliced
  • 1 Large Onion Rough Chopped
  • 1-2 Tbls Oil
  • 3 Cups Chipped Steaks
  • 8 Ounces Mozzarella Cheese Grated
  • 67 wonton wrappers or egg roll wrapper cut into quarters
  • Cheese sauce or queso for dip

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in large frying pan. Add green pepper and onion- cook until soft.
  • Cook chipped steak until just lightly cooked ( over cooking will dry them out and they will cook when deep fried
  • Pulse green pepper, onion and chipped steak until small bits but not mush. Mush will give you a bad texture when you bite into them.
  • Stir in the grated mozzarella.
  • Following the photo directions on the wrapper packaging, place a teaspoon or less of the filling on the won ton wrapper and roll-up. Dampen edges to seal.
  • Fry a few at a time, based on your deep fryer size, do not crowd. Fry until just golden. Remember that all of the ingredients are already cooked thru and you do not want to dry them out.
  • Drain on paper towels and then place on a rack to completely cool before refrigerating or freezer. DO NOT let them touch while draining and cooling or they will be soggy.
